I have been away for a while….

Hello Loyal Readers,

I am so sorry for not posting in a while. We have had some shake ups in the family and my heart has just not been in it. You all know that my Mom passed away around Easter this year. After that I spent a lot of time helping my Dad clean and sort out his home. In early September, a very dear friend was diagnosed with cancer. She went through surgery and had several complications. She is now at the end of her life and in hospice care. The biggest blow to myself and all my siblings came in mid-October. Dad passed away suddenly. My sister, Meg, Em and I were at the hospital when the doctors told us that he didn’t survive the surgery. Since then it has been a struggle to get through some days. With the help of my siblings and friends, we have cleaned out the motor home, car, my parents home and my basement. Now we are getting ready for an estate sale. My heart is still heavy, especially with the holidays. I miss them both so much and everyday something happens that I want to share with them. I know they are watching over me and the rest of the family, but, selfishly, I wish they were still here.
