February 2-5, 2017
Not much to tell you about these days. The only things that happened were Den’s IV therapy sessions and Cardiac Rehab work outs.
February 6, 2017
Den had his usual IV therapy session this morning. Afterward, he dropped me off at work, since he had rehab today.
Jackie, the rehab nurse, called me to let me know that they had seen a possible issue while Den was working out. They were seeing 2-6 second delays in his pacing. She told me that she called the LVAD Team and e-mailed copies of the readouts to the Team. She said that she needed an OK from them for Den to come back later in the week.
February 7, 2017
I got an e-mail from Vika, the LVAD Team, this morning (after we got home from the infusion center). She said that it was OK for Den to return to Cardiac Rehab. She asked me to take a copy of the e-mail to Jackie the next time Den went for his session.
February 8, 2017
I had to shovel the walk twice to get Den to the car this morning. It is snowing like there is no tomorrow! The drive to the infusion center was slow and slippery, but we made it! Luckily, Em is off school due to the weather and I am not scheduled for work today.
When we got home, Den got a call from the Cardiac Rehab. All sessions for the day were cancelled. They didn’t want anyone put in danger with driving or walking from the parking lot. (It really was a bad snow storm.)
