Today is Sunday and we are off to the infusion center for Den’s infusion at 8AM. The good news, Den having the PICC line means he doesn’t need to be poked for his weekly blood draws. The infusion center nurse will do the draw on Monday morning before his IV is started and they will also do his PICC line dressing change at the same time.
The only drawback to this whole IV therapy thing is the time. We typically are gone for 2 1/2 hours total. That includes travel time, getting from the car to the infusion center and the IV run time. The good news it that Den’s white cell count is still going down and the infection seems to be under control now.

Den and I have decided to keep his IV therapy time at 8AM. This way I can be with him and I can drop him off at home or he can drop me off at work.
