Den had his blood draw earlier in the week. The results came back today. His INR was low (his blood was too thick), so we increased his Warafrin to 6mg daily. The team reminded me that Den would not need to get labs until Friday when we would be at UofC for his 3 month Momentum III study check in.

When I left for work this morning, Den was not feeling well. He said he just didn’t feel right. So I told him to go back to bed and call me when he got up. He said he felt much better when I talked to him later in the day. He surprised me my cleaning up the kitchen and even starting dinner! To tell you the truth, I was speechless.

Den decided today was the day to mow the lawn. He did all the flats and the back yard with the riding mower. I got the push mower out and did all of the ditches and edging. The only hiccup in his plan was….he didn’t check the fuel level before he started. He ran out of gas about 1/3 of the way through the front yard. I remember wondering why he had turned off the mower. When I went to check on him, he was so embarrassed that his face was actually red. So I went off to get gas. About 10 minutes later, we were back at it. No big deal, but we still laugh about it today.

Den Got his second Supartz shot in his right knee today. He told the doctor that his left knee was already starting to hurt. (That is because his shots were interrupted when Den went into UofC for his LVAD.) He said we could talk about that next week when Den came in for his next shot.
