Em is out of school for the summer. We all slept in this morning (first time since Den’s surgery that I slept past 5AM). When we finally roused ourselves and got dressed, we headed out for Den’s weekly blood draw. When we were done at the clinic, we decided to head over to the theater to see Alice Through the Looking Glass. Den stayed in his wheel chair and Em and I got handicap companion seats. Em and I enjoyed the movie and Den fell asleep after about 30 minutes. When the movie was over, we headed home. Den told me that he was having some trouble going to the bathroom, so we decided to try some prunes. Hopefully, the prunes will do their magic. (The prunes did work, but it took a while for them to give Den releif.)

Dr. Hennecke’s office called to set up his next appointment in 3 months. Otherwise, it was just a normal day in the house.

Today, we went for Den’s fourth Supartz shot in his left knee. Dr. Atkenson said that the hospital had not given him and answer yet, but he would keep checking and let us know.

We planned to go to the trailer in Marseilles. We were packed and on the road by 8AM. Mind you, when Den goes anywhere overnight, we have to pack his battery charger and house power unit. Just this equipment takes up a small suitcase. So traveling is no small thing for us. I had brought with us the tester to make sure the outlets were grounded. This is required to keep Den and his equipment safe. Before we unpacked the car, I check the outlets….all of the needed outlets were grounded and wired correctly. We all breathed a sigh of relief that we could stay overnight and enjoy the peace and quiet that we love about the campground. Once we unpacked, we decided to go out for a late breakfast to the restaurant just outside the campground…The Four Royals. Afterward, we went back and relaxed for a little while. Em and I decided to go swimming around noon. Since it was the middle of the week, we had the pool all to ourselves. It was nice to be able to just float around with no one to bother us. We headed back to check on Den at 2PM. He was napping so Em and I took Harrison out to the screen room and played some cards. We ate a late lunch when Den got up and Em and I swam again before dinner. It was a wonderful day and we all slept well that night. Tomorrow we would go home, since we had planned for this to be a short trip to make sure Den could be here at all.
