Today we will lay to rest my dear mother. She was one-of-a-kind, to say the least. She has now joined her parents and siblings in their heavenly reward. She was born on a small farm during the depression. She was always small in stature, but tremendous in personality and conviction. She raised 6 very independent and very different children. We have all followed our own path in life and she and our father have always supported us in our endeavors. She loved the camping and the out of doors. She traveled to Europe and all over North America. She did things her way and if you didn’t like it…tough! She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. While Dad and the rest of us are now left to pick up the pieces with her missing in our daily routines, we all know that she is sitting by a lake with her siblings..fishing pole in one hand and a cold beer in the other. I am sure that she is catching up with her family and friends around the campfire and just waiting for us to one day let her know what she has missed. Love you, Mom….Forever and Always.
My final thought for today….Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future and today is the present (a gift)…treat is as one. Hug your friends, family and pets. You never know when it will be the last time you see or talk to them. Our time here is short, make the most of every moment!
