A quick update…

Den had an appointment today with the electrophyisology team. Den has been in AFib for about a year now and the LVAD team suggested we see about getting him out of that rhythm. We found out that Den’s heart arrhythmia definitely needs to be resolved. Since he has already been on the first two drugs of choice we are down to the last one in the series. Sometime in the near future he will be going into the hospital for a few days. He will be starting a new medication that should keep his heart in a good rhythm. But…and it is a big but…he will need to be closely monitored as he starts this new drug for any signs of reaction or serious side effects. There is also no guarantee that the new drug or the cardiovert that they will also be doing will keep his heart in sinus rhythm.
